Distracted driving is deadly. In fact, 3,477 people died in crashes related to distracted driving in 2015 alone. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), that same year saw nearly 400,000 injuries resulting from accidents in which distracted driving was a factor.
Edgar Snyder and Associates reports that texting while driving poses a six times greater risk of an accident than driving while intoxicated. The bottom line is this, taking your eyes off the road is dangerous.
